The mission of the NYS Alliance is to work towards the reduction of sexual victimizations by advocating for comprehensive measures. We strive to promote the increase, uniformity, and quality of assessments and treatment services for both juvenile and adult sex offenders, recognizing the importance of addressing the root causes of such offenses. Furthermore, we aim to facilitate the development of a fully integrated continuum of services for sex offenders, ensuring that they receive the necessary support for rehabilitation and reintegration into society. By actively advocating for legislation on issues and funding for programs impacting sex offenders and survivors, we seek to create an environment that fosters prevention, intervention, and support. Finally, we emphasize offender accountability through the implementation of restitution, mediation, treatment, supervision, and incarceration as appropriate measures to ensure justice and safeguard the well-being of both survivors and the community at large.
